* Snowbird Property Help... How To Find Your Way Around Snowbird Properties 
1. General Information! From our home page in the top header bar are specific pages or search parameters you can click on. In the Lower - Center of the home page are a list of categories that will link you directly to those particular categories, however this will include all areas in that category. You may search by a Customer ID or by AD ID, however you must know the actual number from a publication or from the owner. When you Search Ads, you may choose (OPTIONAL) a specific State or Category to successfully narrow your search down... At the VERY Bottom on the home page are additions Useful links, Sponsor Links, Business Directory, Privacy Policy & Advertising Information. IF YOU ARE HAVING A PROBLEM VIEWING ADS OR SEEING LINKS TO PLACE ADS - PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: Two factors may result in your inability to View Ads or Use Search funtions.. Cookie Settings & Security or Firewall Settings.. The biggest problem here is if you are having these problems with our user friendly site, you are also having problems with other sites too, but you may not even know or see what you are missing. ABOUT COOKIES..... In an effort to make your Internet experience simple and secure, Snowbird Properties uses "cookies". This technology allows us to recognize our customers, ensure your privacy and allows images to load faster on your PC. To properly use Snowbird Properties you must use a web browser that supports cookies and have the cookie option enabled. To enable cookies, simply follow these step-by-step instructions: Internet Explorer 6 Users (For Windows users only) Click on the Tools menu Choose Internet Options In the Privacy tab, click Advanced Set First-party cookies to Accept or Prompt Internet Explorer 4 Users (For Windows users only) Click the View menu and choose Internet Options. Within Internet Options, click the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Security section. Below that will be the Cookies subsection. Click to turn on the Always Accept Cookies option. Click the OK button to finish. Internet Explorer 5 Users (For Windows users only) Click the Tools menu and choose Internet Options. Within Internet Options, click the Security tab then the Custom Level button. Scroll down to the Cookies section. Make sure Allow cookies that are stored on your computer is enabled. Click the OK button twice to finish. Internet Explorer 5 Users (For Mac users only) Click the Edit menu and choose preferences. Within Receiving Files, click the cookie tab. Scroll down the Cookies section. Make sure all cookies that are stored on your computer are enabled. Click the OK button once to finish. Netscape 6.2 Users Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences. Within Preferences, click on Privacy & Security in the Category tree to the left. Click on Cookies. Choose any option except "Disable Cookies". Click the OK button to finish. On the top menu choose Tasks. Choose Privacy & Security. Choose Cookie Manager. Select "Unblock Cookies from this Site". Netscape 4 Users (For Windows and Mac users) Click the Edit menu and choose preferences. Within Preferences, click on Advanced in the Category tree to the left. Click to turn on the Accept All Cookies option. Click the OK button to finish. Older browsers may not support cookies. We recommend downloading a newer browser to make your Internet experience easier... Any users still using the older IE4.0 and below or Netscape 4.0 and below should upgrade to a newer FREE version as these Older Browsers will not be unable to display some of the changes. We have provided two direct links to IE6.0.1 and Netscape 7.1 below which are free. Internet Explorer 6.0 - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp Netscape 7.1 - http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/default.jsp  SECURITY SETTINGS: If your Security Settings are Too High such as Norton sets for you, you will not be able to view Ads, Search Ads or Place an Ad. We suggest you re-set your security settings or firewall to allow these harmless Cookies which allow Ads to be viewed...Although Security is an issue, sometimes Too Much is a Bad Thing such as Norton sets as a default which will not allow you to view images on many good web sites including Snowbird, but you won"t know what you are missing until you re-set your security... We disabled our Norton Firewall entirely as it is not a neccessay tool, nor are we fans of Norton, there are many better ways to accomplish security issues. One being to un-install Norton Security or Firewall entirely and pick up the #1 rated Spy ware called "Spy Sweeper", it is what we have on all of our PC"s... It is recommended to leave the anti-virus software but again we have found better software than Norton or McCaffee. Panda is a very good one, another good one is free and works much better than those above, you may email us for more information on this subject...  2. Hard of seeing & need a larger print font? After you create a User Name and Password, from the Home Page click on "User Control Panel, then click Settings and adjust your viewing size for the entire site. This uses cookies which will automatically adjust to the size you specify everytime you visit Snowbird Properties. 3. How can I tell customers to view all of my ads? Type in your Customer ID in the search box. When you place local newspaper ads, include your Customer ID for people to view images online. This will display All of your Ads & Only Your Ads... 4. Problems creating a new user account? In most cases this is caused by not entering the exact User Name & Password you originally created. We do not keep your password which keeps your private information even more secure than most sites offer. If you forget your User Name & Password when you have tried to log on, just simply click the "Forgot Password" in the PINK Message Bar that appears to say "Click Here" forgot password button... It will send an automated e-mail to your original account e-mail address you had set up with a temporary password for you to log on with. Then just click the "User Control Panel" above your user name and change your " Settings" for a new password that you will remember.... E-Mail Snowbird for other help or issues. 5. LET US CREATE YOUR AD FOR YOU! If you have any trouble uploading images or creating your ad for any reason, don"t get frustrated, we will do it for you.... At The Top Right of our Home Page... Just Register a User Name & Password which we will then assign the ad over to when we complete it, you can still edit anytime.. Next just EMAIL your Customer ID along with your Single Image & Ad text (About 1000 characters) include any special instuctions. If you would like to send 4 more Images and more text beside these additional Images there is no extra cost so EMAIL all of them to us. You may want to send them in two separate emails if their pixel size is above 800x1000. We will create your ad for you and notify you by email when it is online for you to see. This usually takes us 48 hours or less to have in online for you, in many case the same day... 6. How do I know I am logged on after creating a new user ID? If this is not visible, try either "Refresh " from the home page or Re-Log On. You should see your log on name at the top right and it should state "User Control Panel" above your user name. After your initial Log On Creation - Use the same Log On Name you created every time you log on, edit your email, password and contact information.! 7. How to set your Desktop homepage to Snowbird Properties This is a simple process, go to our site home page, click and highlight the URL in the top address bar, then copy it... Secondly click on tools in your browser bar, then internet options, then paste the address over what is displayed and click on Apply at the bottom.... That"s it, you can use Google search bar at the bottom of our homepage everyday for all your searches...... 8. Free RV Classifieds & Wanted Ads! Classified Ads & Wanted Ads are Free however they are AUTOMATICALLY removed after 60 days from original posting.... FIRST "Register" a User Name & Password, then Post a Free Wanted or Free Classified Ad... 9. How much do Photo Ads Cost? Post Your RV Resort Amenities or RV Event This is Very Simple & it"s FREE... Found in our Header Bar-Click the Link that Says "RV Event" or "RV Park" , then scroll down to Add Your RV Park Amenities, Event, Web Link & E-mail Address... 11. How to Place a Photo Ad for 30 days ! To place a Photo Ad you Must Simply Log On.... * Then Click "Place an Ad" in the Top Right Header Bar - Choose your State, Write in your Ad Header, E-mail Contact Info., Ad Body, Secondary Bold Header & finally your Footer such as a comment or your Business Name, Etc.... Then browse for your MAIN jpeg image & Upload it, then submit your photo ad, type in Free in the promo box and it will automatically post at no cost for 30 days... NOTE: If you wish to include up to 4 Additional Images & Text at NO COST, click the "NO" on more info to "YES" just before you submit your first image and main ad content.... You must CHANGE the More Info to YES - THEN SUBMIT the first portion of your ad.... This will take you to a page where you will be able to Upload 4 Additional Images & Text ( No extra Cost ), Then Submit your Completed Photo ad. ( See "How do I EdIt" for further details on editing. ) * Our System operates best with Internet Explorer. * When placing a Photo Ad, we suggest you rename your image with a unique name that will not be simple to over ride. If you name it front, someone else might name their image front, which will over ride your image, be unique. You must browse for your photo image on your PC that you want to upload. After you find the image you want, double click on that image. 12. How to Place "MORE INFO." before submitting your Ad! Before you complete your Ad for Submitting, Click the "More Info." box to "YES", then click on Submit this Photo Ad. You will be taken to a page where you may place Four more Images and appropriate text beside each photo for description. * If you have an Account or Code Number, place it in the "Promo Code or Account Box". Note: For any Photo Ad you must have a digital photo image on your computer, normally found under “my documents” in “my pictures” on most computers, or whatever folder you may file your photo images in. We suggest you RE-NAME your photo image(s) with a "Unique" Name prior to submitting any ad giving it individuality or you may be asked to rename your image. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT ABOUT E-MAIL ADDRESS Type in the E-mail Address you wish people to Respond to when placing your ad... It may at your option, be different from the one you used when you created your user account information.... *If you use your back button while placing your ad, you may duplicate your ad, it"s best to move forward, then return to the home page where you can EDIT ADS from your "User Control Panel" provided you"re logged on... Don"t have a Digital Photo-That"s OK We have a default "No Photo Available" , your E-mail address will be an active link and you can place your image later by "Editing" using the "User Control Panel". Ads will appear at the top of the page and will descend as other advertisements are submitted. If you need to edit your advertisement, go to the home page, be sure you are currently logged on and click the “USER CONTROL PANEL” button above your User Name. If your user name is not displayed then you are not logged on.. This allows you to edit your ad or change your user settings. You Must be Logged On To Edit, Top Right in the Header-Simply click "User Control Panel" 13. How to Edit a Classified or Photo Ad? You Must Be Logged On, Then simply click the link above your User Name that says "User Control Panel". You may Edit your ad & images, if you click the link that says "Settings", you may change your log on information & password... 14. Digital Image Resizing & Download help! ***Note: Click on" Refresh " if your browser didn"t view images properly*** Most computers are capable of upload/downloading images, however we ask you try to keep the size of an image to about 200k or change the pixels to approximately 800-W x 600-H and are best saved as a JPEG, some GIFS may not be accepted. This can usually be accomplished through your photo image software. An image that is too large will take quite a while to upload even at high speed internet. If you tried all the above and you"re still having problems, E-Mail Us your image & text to us and we will complete it for you... Iamge software operates differently and therefore it is impossible for us to explain each in detail. The best clues are to first find your image software, click Start on your desktop, then click on your programs, find the image software you use, then open the software and play with it, you should find an area somewhere that states RE-SIZE your images or EDIT images. All good software allows resizing although we have seen some cheaper versions that don"t. We reccommend you pick up a GOOD Image software CD that allows you to crop, resize, edit and rename your images. 15. What is the Featured Page? The “Featured Pagge" gets top attention of all visitor"s and is a Highly Valued Placement. "The Feature Page" Ads will be placed according to availability & demand, contact us: 16. Having to Scroll or setting your screen resolution If your resolution on your desktop is set to 800 x 600 you may have to scroll and some pictures may tile. To fix this: * Right Click on your Desktop * Click on Properties at bottom *Click on settings at top right Now look where your settings are at. * Our Desktops Settings are at: True Color 32 bit & the Pixel Screen size is 1024x768 * Our Lap top settings are at: True Color 32 bit & the Pixel Screen size is 1600x1200 These Settings seems to show images at their best. If you make any changes click apply & follow the directions, you don"t have to re-start your PC. It"s just as simple to change it back so it"s easy to check out the difference. You might try this to see if all images appear better. If your screen resolution is already set at or above 1024 x 768. Try this: * On your browser: * Click on "View" * Scroll down to text size and try different settings 17, Tips on Printing Pages We hope our pages print correctly for everyone, however Desktop settings are not something we can control for everyone so we have tried to make a medium text size printable to most users. If you are having problems, you may need to go to your printer setup and click on page setup, try a different setting, if all else fails, click on landscape mode and it should print in full, printing in Landscape mode is side to side. It is best to re-set your Resolution to fit your screen, but some of us are hard of seeing. 18. To Report a Link Problem or Rudeness of any Kind Please E-Mail Snowbird 19. Banners & Affiliate Links !
